The story behind the beautiful scarf

Designed by acclaimed Canadian fashion designer David Dixon in collaboration with Dr. John Semple, a breast cancer surgeon at WCH and a gifted OCAD University-trained artist, this scarf features an inspiring watercolour painting by Dr. Semple.

“Every day I see women facing extremely difficult decisions,” comments Dr. Semple. “Although every women’s journey with cancer is different, one common theme is always present their extraordinary courage, strength and resilience. This inspires me and I wanted to honour this spirit in my painting.”
